Our fine bone china is delicate and needs gentle handling to avoid breakages. In order to ensure that your Alice Peto china remains in peak condition for decades to come, please follow the following guidelines. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email us at email@example.com
Washing and cleaning
All Alice Peto china, except the pieces with gold rims, can occasionally be washed in the dishwasher up to maximum temperature of 60'C. Please stack the dishwasher so that the items don’t touch each other, and use the ‘gentle’, the ‘short wash’ or the ‘china and crystal’ cycle. Also, please use a gentle detergent, such as one of the eco-detergents, and make sure that your dishwasher’s rinse cycle does a thorough job. If you are in a hard water area, a water softener will help keep your china perfect. However, if you are going to use the dishwasher regularly, please bear in mind that our china is dishwasher safe, not dishwasher proof, and will ultimately last longer if washed by hand.
When storing the china, we recommend using plate dividers to avoid scratching the surface. (And please, never pull a plate from the bottom of the pile – only ever from the top!)
Day to day use
The ovenware and casserole dishes should not be subjected to temperatures in excess of 230'C. Plates, bowls and mugs should not be subjected to temperatures in excess of 65'C (so please don’t put plates in too hot an oven to warm up.) Do not place any Alice Peto china over a direct flame. At the other end of the spectrum, Alice Peto china is not freezer-proof. Also, please don’t subject the ovenware to sudden cooling - for instance, taking it out of the oven and immediately subjecting it to cold water; all ceramics if subjected to sudden changes in temperature.
